Dog Training Classes

Pets Lifeline offers dog training classes for our community. We want to help keep pets happy in their homes by educating people about humane and responsible treatment and training of their companion pets, plus having a little fun.

We offer Puppy Classes, Basic Obedience Training, and Intermediate
Obedience Training.
If you do not see your desired class below, please check back for the next session.

NOTE: Classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment is low.

Current vaccination records are required. Please see below for specific requirements for each class.
Please do not bring your dog to training if your dog has any of the following symptoms: Sneezing, Coughing, Vomiting, or Diarrhea

All classes are held at Pets Lifeline, 19686 8th Street East, Sonoma.

Puppy Socialization

Puppies must have their first two DA2PP vaccinations in order to attend this class

PUPPIES ATTEND ALL CLASSES

$145.00 (6-week course, one hour classes)

A first class for puppies to learn socialization with other puppies.

Proof of current vaccinations is required/ Two DA2PP immunizations and Bordetella.
Puppy must not be experiencing coughing, sneezing, vomiting, or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to any class.

Proof of vaccinations can be uploaded via the form or emailed promptly to rebecca@petslifeline.org in order to secure your spot.

Records must be an itemized invoice/record from the veterinarian with the name and date of the vaccinations.
We cannot accept reminder reports from the veterinarian.
Please upload or email the actual Vaccination Record from the Veterinarian.

Class size limited to 8 dogs.

PLEASE BRING: A mat/towel (bath mats work well) and small treats for your dog (and a treat holder if you would like).

Basic Obedience Training

For dogs 4 months and older

FIRST CLASS IS MANDATORY, BUT WITHOUT DOGS PLEASE.

$145.00 (6-week course, one hour classes)

Our six-week Basic Obedience Training class is the perfect starting point for dogs 4 months and older.

Please Note: This is NOT a dog socialization class.

We require the following vaccinations prior to the first class:

Under 1 year: 1 dose of Rabies, 3 doses of DA2PP and Bordetella booster within the last 6 months (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)
1-2 years: 1 dose of DA2PP, 1 dose of Rabies and Bordetella booster within the last 6 months. (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)
After 2 years: 3 year DA2PP, 3 year Rabies, Bordetella booster within the last 6 months (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)

Intermediate
Obedience Training

For graduates of Family Dog 1

Thursdays 5 p.m.

Students in this class will hone the skills learned in Basic Obedience Training class through a variety of exercises that solidify your dog's good manners in the home and out in the community.

Please Note: This is NOT a dog socialization class.
