DOG TRAINING CLASSES
​
Pets Lifeline offers dog training classes for our community. We want to help keep pets happy in their homes by educating people about humane and responsible treatment and training of their companion pets, plus having a little fun.
​
We offer Family Dog 1, Family Dog 1 w/Clicker, Family Dog 2,
Canine Good Citizen and Puppy Classes.
If you do not see your desired class below, please check back for the next session.

If a class is full, and you would like to be placed on the Waiting/Interest List,
or you would like to hear about future classes, please CLICK HERE.
NOTE: Classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment is low.

Current vaccination records are required. Please see below for specific requirements for each class.
Please do not bring your dog to training if your dog has any of the following symptoms:
Sneezing, Coughing, Vomiting, or Diarrhea
All classes are held at Pets Lifeline, 19686 8th Street East, Sonoma.

Family Dog 1
Beginner
Thursdays - 5:00 pm
Sundays - 1:30 pm
For dogs 4 months and older
$175.00 (6-week course)
A beginning level class that covers all the fundamentals i.e. Sit, Stay, Down, Come (recall), polite leash walking, and basic good manners.
​
Please Note: This is NOT a dog socialization class.
​
We require the following vaccinations prior to the first class:
-
Under 1 year: 1 dose of Rabies, 3 doses of DA2PP and Bordetella booster within the last 6 months (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)

1-2 years: 1 dose of DA2PP, 1 dose of Rabies and Bordetella booster within the last 6 months. (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)

After 2 years: 3 year DA2PP, 3 year Rabies, Bordetella booster within the last 6 months (Bordetella vaccine is only good for 6 months)
Proof of vaccinations can be
1) Uploaded below
2) Emailed promptly to programs@petslifeline.org
Note: You may have your veterinarian email the immunization records directly to: ali@petslifeline.org.

The record must be an itemized invoice/record from the veterinarian with the name and date of the vaccinations.
​
We can not accept reminder reports from the veterinarian.
​

Intermediate
Thursdays - 6:30 pm
Sundays - 11:15 am
For graduates of Family Dog 1
$175.00 (6-week course)
Students in this class will hone the skills learned in Family Dog I through a variety of exercises that solidify your dog's good manners in the home and out in the community.

Canine Good Citizen
Advanced
Sundays - 10:00 am
For graduates of Family Dog 1 & Family Dog 2, or Permission of Instructor
$175.00 (6-week course)
​Canine Good Citizen is a class including a 10-skill test, teaching good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners.
​
Please Note: This is NOT a dog socialization class.
