#GivingTuesday Story: Smokey
Smokey is a playful and self assured young male cat that came to Pets Lifeline suffering from ringworm and some type of eye injury that was detected at intake. He was part of a litter of ranch cats that were brought in to Pets Lifeline for care and placement in homes.
His eye injuries affect both his eyes and he was under the care of an ophthalmologist for an extended period of time. The cost for his eye care exceeded $600 but as you can see it was worth every penny making him a happy and healthy cat again. He can see adequately inside and he isn’t impacted by his disability, but because of his sight limitations he will do best as an indoor cat. He is affectionate, loves toys, and navigates quite well inside. As you can see in his photo he is agile and play is important to him. Smokey would love to have his very own person to just play all the time with him and shower him with toys and love. He is ready to find his special someone now that his health has been managed.
Please consider donating to Pets Lifeline this #GivingTuesday on December 1, 2015. Your donations will give these animals a second chance at life in new forever homes. Pets Lifeline is the only safety net for animals in need in all of Sonoma Valley. And, we receive no funding from the city or county. Help us care for the most vulnerable members of our community by giving generously to our #givingtuesday Critical Care Campaign!
