Here Comes Kitten Season: How You Can Help
Spring is officially here in Sonoma and that means Kitten Season is upon us. We are so lucky to have so many great people who always want to help with these cute little ones so this year we are trying to get ahead of the babies.

The first thing you can do to help during kitten season is to help us with prevention. Please trap any feral cats in your area and help get them spayed and neutered. Here is more information on our feral cat program.
The next thing is to help us prepare for the upcoming kitten population. Pet's Lifeline is sustained completely by donations. We have many ways the community can contribute, one is our Amazon Wish List. On this list the following items are really helpful: KMR (kitten milk replacer) powder or canned
Baby food 2nd stage: chicken (no vegetables or onions)
Pet nurser bottles
Baby wipes (unscented)
Of course if you prefer to get any of these items locally and drop them off at the shelter that is fantastic as well!
We also will need canned kitten food, especially Max Kitten. Those babies gotta eat once they wean from the bottle.
Lastly, we always need foster families to help with the little ones... especially the tiny ones who require frequent feedings and a stay at home mama or papa. The first month or so of their lives are critical for their survival. Frequent bottle feedings, temperature regulation and love are key to helping these babies thrive until they are old enough for adoption. If you are interested in fostering kittens this year contact us and we can help start the process.
Thank you all so much for your support! Don't forget one additional way you can help during kitten season: Adopt!
