The
Black Cat Cabaret is right around the corner!
This year we are pleased to present an exclusive selection of live
auction items for this "Year Of The Tiger" event. (See photos and details at the bottom of this page) For those who attended the first Black Cat Cabaret in 2009, we brought back the most popular items including the electric bikes, the year in flowers, private label wines from two of the area's biggest dog lovers and, of course, an unforgettable night in Las Vegas watching Black Cat artists perform on their home stage: the world's largest and most expensive theatrical production "KA". True to our promise of creating a short live auction with unique entertainment we have added only two items per night plus the very important Fund-a-Need. I know we all share the love for Sonoma with its many wonderful and diverse attributes. So as part of a special package we are thrilled to offer a Lyon Ranch Dining Event hosted by "lion-hearted" Rob and Robin Lyon. Having personally experienced a tour of the ranch and shared a carrot and seed with some of the menagerie's residents I know what a special place Lyon Ranch is. But who imagined a great dining experience in Sonoma's coolest barn, complete with private rooms and entertaining surprises? Add the five other 'insider' items and you have your local holiday social calender complete! When I walked into the Lisa Kristine Gallery several months ago -- there it was -- the signature piece for our event: A photo of a tiger resting in the lap of a Buddhist monk. Nothing spoke more clearly to the unique human animal bond we celebrate each day at Pets Lifeline. What an honor that Lisa Kristine has donated this amazing image in support of Sonoma's homeless animals. Before landing in Sonoma, I spent years traveling to some of the most beautiful and remote places in the world, making, along the way, some very special friendships. When I visited my friend Santi and his family at their posada in Buzios, Brazil. Santi's father built the home in the early 60's when starlette and animal lover Brigette Bardot frequented the area. His mother created the intimate, interior decor and years later expanded the home into a 24 room boutique hotel. Soon after beautiful sister, Luli, created a world class, cozy, Mediterranean-style spa nestled below the pool. I spent a month there and it was truly better than home away from home. I took great pleasure in watching and hearing tourists with discriminating tastes rave about this magical place. Now you have a chance to experience this yourself. Santi and his family have offered not one but two packages created just for our special Pets Lifeline supporters. What Conde Nast, New York Times, Vogue and several other international travel journalists have called delightful, unique and relaxing is yours to experience. And Santi will know I sent you! For more information and to see photos of the auction items below. We thank you in advance for your continued support by raising your paddle for the shelter's critically important work. We look forward to seeing you at the show! |
