PETS LIFELINE ADULT
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
(Please
check the activities that interest you.)

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Business Office) -- Basic office skill required such
as typing, filing, computer knowledge, and photocopying.
□
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (Shelter) Requires minimum six-months commitment to
volunteer one day a week for at least 2 hours. Answering phones, taking lost
animal reports, requests for animals, welcoming the public, etc. Does not involve doing adoptions.
□
BULK MAILINGS Assist with preparing the newsletter, fund raising, and other
mailings.
□ CAT
CUDDLER Socialize cats and kittens.
□ DOG
TRAINING ASSISTANT
Participate in training to make sure dogs consistently display
good manners and to keep the dogs stimulated while at the shelter.

CRAFTS Crafts group volunteers make and/or and sell a wide variety of goods
to raise money for the Shelter.

FACILITY MAINTENANCE Weeding, pruning, repairs, and other maintenance at the
Shelter.

FARMERS MARKET Help set up and staff information table at Tuesday night
Farmers Market. Answer questions about PLL and available animals.

FERAL CAT TRAPPER
□
FOSTER HOME Temporarily care for cats, kittens, and dogs that are not yet available
for adoption.
□
FUNDRAISING Plan or help with various fundraising activities throughout the
year.
□
GRAPHIC DESIGNER Design and facilitate production of posters, flyers, and
other promotional materials.
□
GROOMER Brushing and/or bathing cats and dogs.
□
SHELTER ASSISTANT
Mainly preparing the Shelter to open to the public or assisting
the staff with cleaning the days the Shelter is not open. Most help is needed
from

SPECIAL EVENTS Set up and/or staff off-site information booths. Assist at
events such as our annual Pooch Promenade and Santa Paws.

VETERINARIAN RUNS Transport animals to veterinary appointments and pick them
up when ready. Usually involves taking animals in the morning or picking them
up in late afternoon when they are ready.
